Abraham and Sarah: History’s Most Fascinating Story of Faith and Love by J SerVaas Williams
336 pages, 10 of 12 reviews are 5-star, Lending Enabled, previously free
Take all that can be gleaned from the classic narrative of Abraham and Sarah; add the wisdom of ancient as well as modern historians; then, intersplice the wealth of the most up-to-date archaeological evidence; and a man and a woman of striking abilities, reality, and humanness appear.
If Abraham lived in a pagan environment, how did he become a man of great faith? Who was Sarah? Is there any logical explanation for her dazzling beauty that charmed and enticed kings when Sarah was at the age of seventy-five and again when she was ninety?
Archaeologist Sir C. Leonard Woolley observed that “Amongst the shadowy characters of ancient history, Abraham stands out as a living personality–whom we can know, and with whom we can sympathize…and now, alongside this living personality, we find Sarah–perhaps the most remarkable, yet mysterious woman of all time!”
The Joy of Living for Jesus by Katie Hoffman
153 pages, 2 of 2 reviews are 5-star, Lending Enabled, previously free
Many Christian women in today’s society feel burdened and overwhelmed. They’ve lost their joy in Christ. And that joy has been replaced with feelings of frustration and emptiness. How can busy, overwhelmed women achieve enduring joy? What are the secrets of lasting, glorious, inexpressible joy?
From many years of research and study, this book reveals the biblical secret to joy: God gives joy to those who live pleasing to Him. It is the emotional result of true holiness and intimacy with Christ. Author Katie Hoffman leads women back home to Christ and the joy He alone gives.
Transform your thinking and experience daily joy beyond what seems possible. The Bible speaks about multiple things a person can do “right”, actions a person can and should take, and wraps those actions up with a direct and specific promise of joy. That is absolutely fascinating. God specifically tells us in His Word exactly what actions, what accomplishments, what right things will result in joy.
This book looks at 22 of those things.

The Lottery First Lady by David Smith
131 pages, no reviews, Lending Enabled
The classic King James line – “Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” – comes to life in this sizzling thriller written for the 21st century.
Esther Thompson is a stunningly beautiful but nondescript high school girl living in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. with her aunt and uncle. A political scandal erupts when the President publicly divorces his wife and involves the entire nation in an American Idol-type search for a new First Lady.
What follows is a political drama set in the White House and on Air Force One as a teen-aged Esther takes her place in the Oval Office next to the most powerful man in the world. Her faith in God remains her hidden secret, which threatens to become exposed when the Secretary of State instigates a covert operation to uproot and destroy a sect of people who continue to serve the king of heaven.
All of the key plot twists in the ancient Old Testament tale have been cleverly transplanted into the nation’s capital in the 21st century, with cell phones, Secret Service details, Internet gossip, coup d’etats, and presidential assassination plots. Some minor “Constitutional” adjustments allow the story to unfold in a fully American setting that is familiar to today’s politically engaged reading audience.

W.A.R. – Wisdom and Revelation Devotional and Study Guide by Brian and Veronica Knack
167 pages, 1 of 1 reviews are 5-star, Lending Enabled
W.A.R. is a weekly Devotional/Bible study the Lord had me write during a time of great trial and learning to trust and rely totally upon Him. I have since updated it and added a study guide at the end of each devotional.
Soldiers are made for W.A.R. That is their reason for being. As we seek more and more of God’s Wisdom and Revelation for our lives, our enemy becomes more and more threatened. The more we know about who we are, whose we are and what we are here to do the more damage we can do to him and his kingdom and the more equipped we become to advance the Kingdom of God.
My hope is that when you have finished with this devotional you will know who you are, whose you are and that you will be more equipped to take on whatever task the Lord has for you. May you receive the fullness of His Wisdom and Revelation in your preparations for W.A.R.

To The Spiritually Inclined by Thurman Faison

This book is written to “the spiritually inclined” who respect the scriptures, yet seek more freedom of thought in their spiritual pursuits. It is for those who want to know the roots of the teachings they now adhere to. Hopefully, the chapters that follow will help to add fresh insight to the spirituality of old and give new hope for the spirituality of today. It will attempt to touch upon many things that directly relate to where we are today in our expanded quest for a satisfying spirituality. It will attempt to draw upon the old and the new and benefit from them both.
