This is the 2nd book in a series. First book is The Faith of Ashish
The Blessing in India series is a saga set in India’s heartbreaking history and breathtaking present that points toward a future of hope. Along the way, name-only Christianity collides with Hinduism, and then is confronted by an entirely new understanding of the call to follow Christ.
India: 1946. For forty-eight years, Ashish and his family toiled as slaves in the fields of the high-caste Lal family, and all because of one small debt. At fifty-four, Ashish was old and worn out. Every day was a struggle to survive for his family including his only daughter.
His wife had named the girl Shridula—Blessings. “Perhaps the name will bring you more fortune than it brought me,” Ashish told his daughter. His words proved to be prophetic in ways he could never have imagined. And when the flames of revolt brought independence to India, they seared change into the family of Ashish.

The Wisdom of Life: Keys to Finishing Well by John Bisagno
176 pages, no reviews, Lending Enabled
As pastor emeritus of a 25,000-member church, John Bisagno is widely regarded as the first megachurch pastor. During his thirty years as pastor, he understood that no matter how large a church becomes, helping people live out God’s plan for their lives is what matters most.
It was precisely from his shepherd’s heart that Bisagno created Wisdom for Life , fifty-two chapters of spiritual encouragement to live expectantly, stay focused on Christ, and complete whatever good work God gives you.
Wisdom for Life is filled with practical advice and creative insights in short chapters that you can reflect on and turn to again and again. Not only will you benefit from Bisagno’s rich pastoral experience and the broad range of life issues he explores, you will also discover that what makes your walk with God remarkable isn’t doing the spectacular but abiding with Him in the ordinary.

How Christians Should Related to Government by Wayne Grudem
Derived from theologian Wayne Grudem’s Politics—According to the Bible, this digital short outlines five misguided approaches Christians take to politics and a way that is both more biblical and better for society. I have not read any of these books, so they may not be any good. Some of the books from previous Free Book posts are still available for free. If you want to see all free books as they come out you should follow Books on the Knob on their RSS or Twitter Feed. Or Ireaderreview or the many free book threads on Amazon’s Message Boards.
As always please check to make sure the books are still free before you “buy” them, especially from Amazon. Prices can change quickly. This may be a one day offer. Pick it up quick. If you do buy a book and realize later you have been charged for it, here is a guide on how to return a kindle book.

Great blog! I love your use of the word voracious. I would definitely call you a voracious reader.
What kind of kindle cover would you recommend? There are so many out there.
I personally don’t use a cover. But I know a lot of people that really like them. The first issue is where you usually read. Do you read at night? Then the Amazon lighted covers are pretty much the best available. If you don’t read primarily at night and don’t want a light then there are a lot of options. The main issue is getting one that properly fits your kindle. Covers for Kindle with Keyboard, Kindle Touch and the Kindle Basic (sometimes called the kindle 4 or just the Kindle) are different because the dimensions of the devices are slightly different. Here is a link to refurbished covers. I have purchased a couple of those for others and they have been pretty good. But they may be a bit scuffed.
