I was referred to NearEmmaus by a friend earlier this year and I have been consistently impressed with the quality of blogging the whole team, but particularly Brian LePort the main blogger. NearEmmaus is a serious biblioblog that is still accessible by an academic wannabe like myself. Many of the books the Brian and other bibliobloggers are either above my head or outside my interest area. But I think one of the great needs of the current modern church are people that can communicate with the masses and understand the academics. Brian LePort seems to have a gift and heart for that type of work.
Here are his top ten books for 2012. I have read two of the list, purchased one more that I haven’t had time to read yet and have a couple others on my to read list.
