Carolyn Webber, author of Surprised by Oxford, one of my favorite books of the year last year, has been blogging about books by Dead People.  It is a very good series of post.  So far she has written about The Bible, John Milton’s Paradise Lost, William Blake’s Songs of Innocence, Platonicus’s Metamorphoses (or the Golden Ass), CS Lewis’s Till We Have Faces (which is loosely based on the same story as Metamorphoses and which I reviewed last year), Jane Austen’s Persuasion and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein

Weber is a former literature professor and now full time writer.  She is well worth reading.

Also Parchment Girl recently reviewed Surprised by Oxford, interviewed Carolyn Weber and is giving away a copy if you want to enter

The Englewood Review of Books has a new print edition coming out and Chris Smith, the editor, recently reviewed Junia is Not Alone by Scot McKnight.  (The earlier Bookwi.se Review)

I also was very interested in the review of The Table Comes First by Adam Gopnik reviewed by Sara Sterley at ERB.
