Audible.com has a everyone 25% off sale through Oct 13th.
Effectively this type of sale at Audible is only good if you are not using your Audible.com credits. Members gets 30% off normally, and this is another 25% off the member price. And if it is an expensive book then it is better to use your credits for it.
I have an annual membership, so I get 24 credits for $229. That makes my credits the equivalent of $9.54 a book. If you have a monthly membership, you pay anywhere from $11.48 to $14.95 per credit depending on your plan. (If you are not a member. There is a special offer for new members to get three months at $7.95 a month for the first 3 months and then $14.95 after that.)
I keep a wish list of book at Audible, and always pay attention to the under $10 books for these sales. Here is a list of the best books under $10 from Audible.
Here are some cheap books from my wish list that I set aside at some point. I have not read any of them:
Why Be Catholics by Richard Rohr $5.08
Patched Together: A Story of My Story by Brennan Manning $5.82
How Great is Our God: Classic Writings From History’s Greatest Christian Thinkers in Contemporary Language – $6.28
Sanctuary of the Soul – Journey into Meditative Prayer by Richard Foster – $6.91
Can You Drink The Cup by Henri Nouwen – $7.28
The Quiet American by Graham Green – $7.26
Man’s Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl – $7.26
Plato and a Platypus Walk Into A Bar: Understanding Philosophy Through Jokes – $7.27 (This is one I am thinking about)
Four Views on Evangelicalism: Counterpoints – Exploring Theology – $8.35
Alone With God: Rediscovering the Power and Passion of Prayer by John MacArthur – $8.37
Our Man in Havana by Graham Greene – $9.02
Zermatt by Frank Schaeffer – $9.08
The Wounded Healer: Ministry in Contemporary Society by Henri Nouwen – $9.08
Reading Jesus: A Writer’s Encounter With the Gospels by Mary Gordon – $9.09
I did notice that Audible is not giving any further discount on books that have a Whispersync discount. So if you are interested in the Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit, this is still the best deal.
