# Leadership Journal’s 2012 Leadership Book Awards

The top book on the **Internal Life of the Leader** category is [Pastoral Graces: Reflections on the Care of Souls by Lee Eclov](http://www.amazon.com/Pastoral-Graces-Reflections-Souls-ebook/dp/B007VO7G4Q/).  I have not heard of it, but it has some glowing reviews on Amazon.

The top book in the **Outer Life of the Leader** category is [Center Church: Doing Balanced, Gospel-Centered Ministry in Your City by Tim Keller](http://www.amazon.com/Center-Church-Balanced-Gospel-Centered-ebook/dp/B005JSGB5Q/).  I have heard many positive reviews of this book.  Every review on Amazon is 5 star.  My only complaint is the cost.  It is clearly priced as a textbook and nearly $20 for the kindle version.

The only books on the lists that I have read is Andy Stanley’s [Deep & Wide: Creating Churches Unchurched People Love to Attend](http://www.amazon.com/Deep-Wide-Creating-Unchurched-ebook/dp/B007JJENWG/).  It was one of my [favorite books last year](https://bookwi.se/deep-and-wide/).
