# Old Man’s War is the January Sword and Laser Book Club Pick

[![Old Man](https://bookwi.se/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/screenshot_63.jpg)](http://www.swordandlaser.com/home/2013/1/4/old-mans-war-kick-off-sword-laser-january-book-club.html)In a previous iteration of my life I spend a lot of time listening to podcasts and one of my favorite was the CNet’s [Buzz Out Loud](http://bol.cnet.com).  When I was listening to it Tom, Molly and Veronica were the main hosts.  Since then [Tom Merritt](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Merritt) has spun off his own show on the [TWiT network](http://TWiT.tv), [Tech News Today](http://twit.tv/tnt) and [Veronica Belmont](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veronica_Belmont) is the  co-host of [Tekzilla](http://revision3.com/tekzilla) on [Revision3](http://revision3.com/) network.

For the past several years Tom and Veronica have co-hosted a Science Fiction and Fantasy book club podcast, [Sword and Laser](http://www.swordandlaser.com/).

This month they are [discussing The Old Man’s War by John Scalzi](http://www.swordandlaser.com/home/2013/1/4/old-mans-war-kick-off-sword-laser-january-book-club.html).  Bookwi.se [reviewed the Old Man’s War](https://bookwi.se/old-mans-war/) last fall and I know a few people have read it since then.  You might find the book club discussion interesting.
