I reviewed John Armstrong’s little book The Unity Factor earlier this year. It is a helpful short book that talks about why the church should work together as a whole and the theological important of unity.
David Daniels at Wisereader.com posted a review of it early this week that gets the point of the book well. This is from the middle of the review:
Armstrong believes the only way Christians will adequately respond to the call for unity is to recognize three foundational truths ““ “œthree ones” as he calls them ““ one Lord, one Church, and on Mission. The first three chapters of the book explore the meaning and implications of these “œthree ones.”
Following his study of the “œthree ones”, Armstrong answers the question, “œWhat does the unity factor look like?” Readers will see glimpses of Armstrong’s personal journey toward his understanding of “œmissional-ecumenism.”
