Christianity Today released their Best Books of 2014 list. Like normal they have several categories and with a couple of ties, there are 23 books on the list.
The book of the year is Teach Us to Want: Longing, Ambition and the Life of Faith by Jen Pollock Michel. It is one among several of this list that I have picked up, but not yet read. There is an excerpt on CT’s website.
I won’t list the rest of the books, you can look through the list on your own. But below are the Bookwi.se reviews of the books that are on the list.
- How (Not) to be Secular: Reading Charles Taylor by James KA Smith
- Lila: A Novel by Marilynne Robinson
- Fierce Convictions: The Extraordinary life of Hannah More””Poet, Reformer, Abolitionist by Karen Swallow Prior
