I am a fan of Rhett Smith’s work. I regularly read his blog and I really liked his book Anxious Christian: Can God Use Your Anxiety for Good. (Bookwi.se Review)
I am very much looking forward to reading his new book What It Means to be a Man: God’s Design for Us in a World Full of Extremes that comes out May 1st. I have read enough by Rhett that I really trust him to get to the heart of the matter of what it means to be a man, without some of the distracting cultural issues of manhood that many Christian men’s movements seem to focus on.
Rhett is going to host two private reading groups to work through the book.
One group is going to be open to 40 men and this will be a chapter by chapter reading group.
The second group is for 20 women and they will read the book as well, but Rhett will also work on helping women gain insight into the men in their lives.
Rhett Smith is asking in exchange that you write a review of the book on Amazon (and any other sites) sometime during the week of April 26 to 30 and that you agree to confidentially participate in the group discussions.
All participants will receive an initial digital copy of the book and then the paperback when it actually releases.
Men request to participate here, Women request to participate here. Read Rhett’s initial blog post announcement here.
