Summary: Eugene Peterson’s list of books that he has found helpful in developing his own spiritual life.
Take and Read is a simple concept. Peterson said he looked at his shelves of books and listed the ones he thought helpful along with a short description of why the books were helpful.
I love book lists and as I have been more interested in reading older books, lists like this are helpful. I read this on kindle and highlighted the books that I thought I would read and then went to Kindle.Amazon.com, logged into my account and I can see the whole list. Which I turned into a wishlist so I can come back to them over time.
This is not a long book, just a bit over 100 pages. And it is nearly 20 years old, so nothing is recent. But if you want someone’s take on spiritually helpful books, this is a good list.
If I only read the books from this list that I highlighted, it would probably take me well over a year.
