Rhett Smith, a marriage and family counselor and author of the very good The Anxious Christian and the upcoming What it Means to Be a Man has a four post discussion of Patrick Lencioni’s The 3 Big Questions for a Frantic Family.
This seems like a good book for a small group discussion. From the first post:
I love teaching this book because it’s short…it’s simple…and it’s super easy to implement. And more importantly, it has helped many families slow down their lives and become more focused and intentional about who they are as a family. It’s done that for my own family, and I believe it can do it for your family as well.
So over the next week I’m going to walk through each question one by one, demonstrating to you how easy it is to use this strategy in your family. And who knows, this strategy just might change your family like it has the lives of many other families.
So over this next week we will look at Lencioni’s 3 Big Questions…
- “What makes your family unique?”
- “What is your family’s top priority–rallying cry–right now?”
- “How do you talk about and use the answers to these questions?”
That is it…short and simple. There is more to unpack with each question, but basically those are the 3 big questions you will be addressing.
